TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol — Ten private schools in Tagbilaran City are still awaiting physical inspection or submission of structural clearance following the recent earthquake, according to Mayor Jane Yap in an advisory issued on Monday night, October 13.

Yap said as of 10:20 p.m., the schools that have not yet been inspected or cleared by the City’s Rapid Post-Earthquake Assessment Team are:

-Great Minds Academy
-Royal Christian School
-Holy Name University
-Bohol Wisdom School
-BIT International College (BIT-IC)
-Bohol Island State University (BISU)
-Holy Infant School
-PMI Colleges
-St. Therese School of Tagbilaran
-Holy Spirit School

Yap clarified that since these are private institutions, they may proceed with face-to-face classes provided they coordinate closely with the assessment team for proper guidance and monitoring.

Yap assured the public that the assessment team—composed of engineers and technical personnel from the City Engineering Office, City Planning Office, CDRRMO, and DepEd—will visit the listed schools on Tuesday, October 14, to ensure the safety and structural integrity of their buildings.

School administrators are advised to contact COS Cathy Torremocha at 0908-892-1455 or 0917-890-3531 for verification and inclusion in the cleared list.

“Safety remains our top priority,” Yap emphasized.
