The newly installed provincial director of the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO), Col. Patricio Degay Jr., paid his first courtesy call on Governor Aris Aumentado at the Capitol, together with Lt. Col. Norman Nuez and the BPPO workforce.

During the meeting, BPPO, under the leadership of Col. Degay, presented their ongoing programs and also raised concerns affecting women police officers who were reassigned to other provinces during the past elections but are seeking to return to Bohol.

Aumentado expressed strong support for intensified operations against illegal drugs and emphasized the need for strict vigilance against crimes such as child trafficking, scams, disappearances, and other criminal activities.

He also directed BPPO to establish a hotline for emergencies and urgent needs, ensuring that Boholanos can easily reach authorities when necessary.

“Our goal is to make Bohol safe at all times, and we want Boholanos to freely express their concerns so that help can reach them quickly,” Aumentado said.

The visit highlighted the continued partnership between the Capitol and BPPO, now under the leadership of Degay in keeping Bohol peaceful and secure.
