In a major anti-drug operation, authorities arrested a high-value target (HVT) and seized over P3 million worth of illegal drugs in Calape, Bohol, on Saturday morning, September 20, 2025.
The operation was carried out by the Provincial Intelligence Unit/Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PIU/PDEU) of the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO), in coordination with the Calape Municipal Police Station, the Regional Intelligence Division 7 (RID7), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
The suspect, identified only as alias “Borgy,” 40, single with a live-in partner, unemployed, and residing in Sitio Masang, Barangay Sta. Cruz, Calape, was arrested during a buy-bust operation at 5:46 a.m. in Purok 6, Barangay San Isidro.
Authorities recovered from the suspect an estimated 520 grams of shabu, with a standard drug price of P3,536,000.00, one .45 caliber pistol with three live rounds, one cellphone, buy-bust money, one sling bag, and one motorcycle used to transport the illegal drugs
The operation was led by Lt. Noubell L. Padernal under the direct supervision of Lt. Col. Joemar S. Pomarejos, Head of PIU/PDEU BPPO, with support from RID7 and Calape MPS under the command of PCOL Patricio C. Degay Jr., provincial director of BPPO.
“This successful operation is clear proof of our strong commitment to eradicating illegal drugs across Bohol,” said PCOL Patricio C. Degay Jr.
Lt. Col. Norman Lobrigas Nuez, BPPO spokesperson, added: “The arrest of this high-value individual marks a significant step in our ongoing campaign against illegal drugs. We assure the public that BPPO, together with our partner agencies, will continue operations to keep Bohol drug-free.”
The seizure underscores BPPO’s relentless efforts to combat illegal drugs and criminality in the province.
