BATUAN, BOHOL — Police authorities are still investigating the brutal hacking incident that claimed the life of a 64-year-old man and left his 30-year-old son wounded inside their home in Barangay Aloja, Batuan, on the evening of Sunday, August 3, 2025.
Initial reports from the Batuan Municipal Police Station revealed that the father and son were having dinner at around 6 p.m. when two unidentified assailants barged into their house and attacked them with bladed weapons.
The father sustained multiple hack wounds and was declared dead on the spot. His son managed to escape but also suffered hack wounds and is currently receiving medical treatment.
Authorities are now working to determine the possible motive behind the attack, while efforts to identify and locate the suspects are ongoing.
Police are appealing to the public for any information that may lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.
