TAGBILARAN CITY, BOHOL — A 25-year-old man was found dead after allegedly drowning in the waters off a private resort in Purok 7, Barangay Candabong, Anda, Bohol at around 11 a.m. on Monday, July 14, 2025.
The victim was identified as Dolphy Sajulan Urbano, a resident of the same barangay.
According to Police Corporal Ithiel Chongson of the Anda Police Station, they received an alert early Monday morning about a lifeless body discovered at the resort.
Initial police investigation revealed that Urbano had not returned home since Sunday night, July 13. A search was conducted, and his body was later found early Monday morning. Resort staff reported the discovery to authorities.
A medical examiner noted that the victim may have succumbed to hypothermia, which possibly weakened him and led to his drowning.
As of this writing, the Anda police are awaiting consent from the victim’s family to conduct an autopsy to determine the official cause of death.
