Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio will join the vice presidential race in May 2022 elections as she has been named substitute for Lakas-CMD vice presidential aspirant Lyle Uy.
Uy withdrew his certificate of candidacy on Saturday, Nov. 13.
Lawyer Charo Munsayac filed Duterte’s certificate of candidacy on her behalf.
