DANAO, BOHOL — Close to ₱500 million worth of infrastructure and development projects were inaugurated on Monday, July 7, 2025, in the tourism and agriculture-driven town of Danao, as part of its 64th Foundation Day celebration.

Mayor Celeste Cepedoza-Lerion credited the rapid progress to the united efforts of local officials, including her father, former mayor and now Vice Mayor Jose Cepedoza.

Key projects include the multi-purpose buildings, road and tourism access improvements, rescue vehicles, upgraded facilities at Danao Technological College, waterworks system enhancements, ongoing municipal gymnasium and market street developments.

The projects were funded through national and local support, with major backing from 2nd district Representative Vanessa Aumentado and Governor Aris Aumentado.

The theme of this year’s celebration, “Mauswagong Lungsod: Hugpong sa Hiniusang Damgo, Pagpakabana, Pag-abag, ug Kadasig,” highlights Danao’s commitment to community-driven progress.
