VALENCIA, Bohol — Reelected Mayor Dionisio Neil Balite officially took his oath of office on Saturday, June 28, before Judge Prince Joses Lim, Presiding Judge of the 11th Municipal Circuit Trial Court of Valencia-Dimiao.
The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Valencia Astrodome, witnessed by local officials, supporters, and family members.
Mayor Balite expressed gratitude to his family for their continued support and urged his constituents to “stay humble, stay focused, and stay blessed.”
Joining Balite in the ceremony were Vice Mayor-elect Aristotle Cometa, Provincial Board Member-elect Deedjay Balite, and the newly elected members of the Sangguniang Bayan: Ramil Bete, Nona Bolaco, Elpidio Palaca, Jerald Portrias, Ireneo Gamus, Arman Namoc, Rammel Cagulada, and Patricio Palaca.
After the oath-taking, Mayor Balite delivered his State of the Municipality Address, where he reaffirmed his commitment to the town’s development through his PEPSI-COLA agenda—an acronym for: Panginabuhian (Livelihood), Edukasyon (Education), Panglawas (Health), Social Services, Inprastruktura (Infrastructure), Cooperative Development, Opportunities, Law and Order, and Agrikultura (Agriculture).
Balite also emphasized the importance of unity and participatory leadership under the guiding principle of BARUG, which stands for Better, Affectionate, Responsive, and Unified Governance.
“This new mandate is not just a continuation, but a renewed commitment to work harder for a better Valencia,” Balite said.
The mayor, whose father Dionisio Balite served as town mayor in 1972 and later as Bohol’s vice governor, continues the family’s longstanding public service legacy.
