Authorities confiscated an estimated P10.8 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Taloto in Tagbilaran City on Friday afternoon, April 4, 2025.
Arrested was Jobert Baluca Hingpit, 31, a cook. Police said he was a high-value individual.
Operatives seized 1,600 kilograms of substance believed to be shabu valued at P10, 880,000.
Charges for violations of Section 5 and Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 for drug trafficking and violations of Republic Act 10591 or the Illegal Possession of Firearms and the Comelec Gun Ban, will be filed against the suspect.
The seized evidence has been turned over to the PNP Forensic Unit in Bohol for chemical analysis.
