France Nicole Jimenez of Duero town took home the Miss Governor’s Cup 2024 title during the finals held on June 13, at the Bohol Cultural Center.

Jimenez bested the other nine finalists from the West Conference and East Conference divisions and swept special awards, including Best in Production Number, Fun Wear, and Fantasy Wear.

Muses competed in their candy and bubblegum-inspired costumes in the Fun Wear round, while they transformed into ethereal angels in the Fantasy Wear competition.

Miss Tagbilaran City Sandra Jele and Miss Carmen Jellah Mae Marabilis placed first and second runners, respectively.

Moreover, Miss Antequera Alyssa Mae Batino won the Best in Promotional Video award while Miss Clarin, Will May Polinar, took the Fan Favorite Award.

Other top muses who competed in the finals were Krizzia Mae Kaleel Gulay of Guindulman, Karyl Rich Bag-o of Garcia Hernandez, Yiesha Unice Cagol of Batuan, Reyka Gliece Amparado of Alicia, and Karmy Jessa Jucoy of Calape.

Before the finals, 28 muses were cut to the final ten who inched closer to this year’s crown through an elimination round held last April 7 at the Calape Cultural Center.

Last year, Mary Love Lopez of Tagbilaran City won the title, with Ryanne Marielle Tan of Tubigon and Rica Lofranco of Buenavista as the first and second runners-up respectively, who also hosted this year’s edition.

Acting Governor Dionisio Victor Balite and Board Member Nathaniel Binlod gave messages of support, with Board Member Lucille Lagunay and Aldner Damalerio also gracing the event.

The second edition was organized through the Local Government Affairs Office, the Special Events Section, and the Creatives Studio of the Governor’s Office.

Aligned with the Strategic Change Agenda of Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado, the Governor’s Cup is part of the provincial government’s adherence to implementing holistic youth development programs through sports. (PiMO/JSS)
