Axcona Capital visits Capitol

The Provincial Government of Bohol welcomed officials from Axcona Capital during their courtesy visit on May 30.

Acting Governor Dionisio Victor Balite welcomed the delegates headed by President Bert David Vanelderen, with Svetlana Zehtunova, Glenda Ancheta, and Dennis Quiokeles.

According to their official website, the Abu-Dhabi-based company supports product, tech & industry-led founders across the globe through diverse investment strategies aligned with their values, core team, and ambition that is “beyond exception in fund performance and at absolute market-leading returns.”

Posted on his official Facebook page, Acting Governor Balite expressed the opportunity for the province to expand investments through partnerships with the provincial government.

“Mahimo sila nga musulod isip funder, musuporta sa atong equity o kung unsa man nga ilang ikatabang kanato,” he wrote.

During the discussion, Axcona Capital representatives also emphasized that they saw Bohol’s potential for investments signified by its culture and tradition, as the first and only UNESCO Global Geopark in the Philippines.

Aligned with the Capitol’s Strategic Change Agenda on fostering a business-enabling environment, they also expressed interest in investing in renewable energy, luxury resorts, and other opportunities, including establishing a Special Economic Zone in Panglao.

Provincial Administrator Asteria Caberte also suggested locating opportunities in other parts of Bohol, utilizing the advantage of decentralization or the law of local autonomy, with the help of the Bohol Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office.

Moreover, one of Axcona Capital’s strategies focused on private equity through creating value in partnership with strong businesses, including leveraging operational expertise, strategic insights, and access to capital to build robust organizations.
