The provincial government, led by Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado, is giving opportunities to young athletes to be trained and to represent Bohol and compete in prestigious sports through the Leveraging Assistance for the Representation of Grassroots Athletes, or LARGA.
LARGA is the banner sports development program of the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO).
“The “whole-of-government” and “whole-of-community” approach among offices of the Provincial Government and our partners resonates with this victory,” he added.
The Bohol Athletics Team is led by PYDO coaches Jojo Orcullo and Jonas Acierda.
PAC is the annual track and field national championship organized by the Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association (PATAFA).
Last year, Bohol bagged gold and bronze medals in the PATAFA championships in Ilagan City, Isabela, in the person of Maria Emely Balunan and Juvelle Alexa Matnog. (PiMO/JSS)
