Plea bargainer nabbed, P5.27 Million worth of shabu seized in Tagbilaran City

A freelance layout designer was arrested for allegedly selling shabu in an entrapment operation in Purok 6 in Barangay Cogon, Tagbilaran City on Tuesday night, April 16, 2024.

The suspect was identified as Chris B. Ipanag, 45, a resident of Barangay Booy in Tagbilaran City.

The operation was conducted by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Bohol Provincial Office together with Tagbilaran City Police and Maritime Police Station.

At around 10:40 p.m., Ipanag was arrested and caught in possession of 16 packs of suspected shabu weighing 775 grams.

The confiscated shabu had an estimated average market value of P5,270,000.

In addition to this, they also recovered one mobile phone and other non-drug evidence during the operation. 

PDEA-7 said Ipanag was previously arrested for the same offense in 2019.

PDEA-7 added they have been monitoring Ipanag for a week before he was arrested.

Cases for violation of Sections, 5 and 11 will be filed against the suspect.
