The provincial government’s Abante Negosyo Caravan shifts to high gear to reach more beneficiaries.

The Bohol Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office (Bedipo) convened with partner agencies of the Bohol Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) at the Abante Negosyo Caravan Convergence 2024 on March 14.

“What more can we do and how can we do better,” Maria Fe Dominise, Bedipo head, remarked as she welcomed the team of service providers to the assessment and planning session.

Bedipo’s partners comprise business process related agencies including the Department of the Interior and Local Government, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Securities and Exchange Commission, Department of Labor and Employment, Social Security System, Pag-ibig, Philhealth and the Department of Trade and Industry.

The convergence was aimed at refining the implementation of the program and maximizing client servicing this year.

The convergence session resolved to foster stronger linkages with local government units (LGUs); ensure the strategic identification of target beneficiaries and improve monitoring to expand services and partnerships.

Just last January, Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado led the reaffirmation of partners’ commitment at the Abante Negosyo Caravan in Lila.

A total of 47 caravans have been held since the program’s inception in 2016. It has served 9,817 beneficiaries across 33 LGUs in the province.

This year, the caravan is scheduled in Carmen, Talibon, Loboc and Loon in the first semester as well as in Ubay, Jagna, Danao and Catigbian in the second semester.

The program is part of the efforts of the provincial government and partner agencies to help the marginalized through entrepreneurship through the seamless sharing of services geared towards social inclusivity and economic growth, a pillar of the strategic governance roadmap. (PIMO/LMS)
