Retired soldier Teopisto “Titoy” Cabagnot on Monday wanted to clear his name after he was dragged on the alleged illegal Swertres, an unauthorized numbers game in Bohol.

Cabagnot, a maternal second degree cousin of Gov. Aris Aumentado, vehemently denied his alleged involvement.

“Wala ko magduwa og illegal nga duwa,” he said in a press conference at the Bringhouse Garden Restaurant.

He further stressed that he felt bad after Governor Aumentado, his own relative, accordingly accused him of operating illegal swertres in the province.

“Nasuko jud ko ngano gipasanginlan ko niya,” said Cabagnot, who was the provincial manager of Peryahan ng Bayan in Baclayon town for 11 years.

He further shared that before operating a legitimate gaming business, he informed the governor that he intends to operate an STL (small town lottery) in Bohol.

Cabagnot then applied for a franchise for STL operation from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes in August of 2022 after he was told about the necessary requirements.

During the same press conference, Cabagnot alleged that he knows of provincial officials and law enforcement officers who are actually involved in illegal numbers game.

He also claimed that friends of Aumentado was using Cabagnot’s name and his business name, ONEGAMELINK and Amusement Inc. to operate an illegal business.

“Imposible wala siya kahibaw. From governor to down… Kaila gani ko ni Kristo nga wala mi magkita,” he said.

Cabagnot said he is ready to face any investigation to clear his name.

Aumentado, for his part, has yet to issue an statement in response to his cousin’s claims and allegations.
