Grab to launch in Bohol

Grab Philippines is eyeing to further expand its service to Bohol province
to offer more people another convenient transport option.

Bohol Gov. Aris Aumentado on Tuesday announced that he had a meeting with Grab Philippines officials to discuss the potential launch of its services in the province.

Malou Inocandro-Tabar, public affairs manager; Jay Lim, head of regional operations in Mindanao and CJ Lacsian, director head of operations Philippines had a dialogue with Aumentado.

They discussed the setting up of their entry into the province. The target is to run 500 units of vehicles through Grab. They will prioritize Panglao, Dauis and Tagbilaran City.

“Ang operasyon sa Grab makatabang aron atong makontrolar ang mahal nga singil sa pletehan sa ubang mga drivers ug operators,” Aumentado said.

Grab Philippines started in 2013 originally as GrabTaxi and became the first app-based, ride-hailing service in the country. Grab Philippines engages in mobile app-based digital payments, food and grocery deliveries, parcel, and ride-hailing services.
