Bohol 1st district Rep. Edgar Chatto belied reports circulating through the social media that he was airlifted to hospital Tuesday, Jan. 9.

In a Facebook post, Chatto posted some
snapshots during a live video of his wife, Balilihan Mayor Pureza Chatto.

“Taken this afternoon, Tuesday, Jan 9, 2024, in Congress after doing some office work. Joined Mayor Pureza & my Chief of Staff Atty Jess in a quick tour around the compound,” he captioned his post.

“Wa intawn ma airlift as a few people would like to project. Simbako lang ! Kamo na lang ayaw pangamong sa uban,” he added.

Pureza visited the House of Representatives on Tuesday to follow up some projects. She went live on Facebook to document her visit.

She was met by Chatto and his staff outside the building.

“Live ni? Live?” asked Chatto.

“Live! Hello,” replied Pureza, waving to her friends and followers.

On a separate post, Pureza said that Congressman Chatto was not hospitalized contrary to reports posted by The Bohol Marites.

“I hope and pray that this kind of binuang should be stopped because it causes alarm and unnecessary worry on those who read it! Naa intawn nanawag namo , Family members and friends who are far from us kay nag validate og tinuud ba gi Emergency si Edgar. Simbako intawn ninyo! Ma consciencia unta pud mo oy! Naa pud moy mga pamilya – malipay ba mo og binuangan mo og ingon ani, ” she said.

“I presume you have been educated in good schools, raised well by your parents, I wonder why you don’t possess even an iota of kindness and respect on your fellowmen especially on one who has not even done anything wrong to you. What a disgrace to your families and friends! I pray for your own peace of mind and genuine happiness which I believe can never be found in destroying other people, ” she added.
