Gov. Aris Aumentado administered the oath of office of elected Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan officials during a mass oathtaking on Thursday, Nov. 9 at the Ceremonial Hall of the Capitol.
“Ang atong liderato para sa katibuk-an,” the governor said, addressing elected barangay officials of Antequera, Loon, Cortes and Sikatuna.
Acknowledging the importance of local leadership, Aumentado expressed hope that the Abante agenda of an honest government and the prioritization of service for all constituents will inspire the newly elected officials.
He also reiterated the commitment of the provincial government to support all barangays who are at the frontline of service delivery, guided by the strategic agenda towards the advancement of the province.
Aumentado was joined by Vice Gov. Dionisio Victor Balite who also spoke about selflessness and genuine heart for service during his message.
Board member Lucille Lagunay welcomed the newly elected officials, encouraging them to be accountable and responsible for their every action as it will impact present and future generations.
“Much can be done when hearts and minds are pooled together,” she stressed.
Aumentado earlier also administered the oath of newly elected barangay officials of Trinidad, Inabanga and Carmen at his Capitol office. (PIMO/LMS)
