Police rescued on Tuesday, a female Chinese national in Panglao in Bohol province after she was allegedly kidnapped by her compatriots.
The victim was identified as Chen (family name withheld), 53, a Chinese National, residing at No. 23, Lijianqiao, Changshu City, Jiangsu Province, China.
Ying, who has a businesss in Panglao, was last seen last October 18, 2023 at Dauis town.
Panglao police received the report last October 23, 2023 for possible crime of kidnapping and serious iIlegal detention.
Immediately, an investigation and tracking was conducted by provuncial intleligence unit of the Bohol Police Provincial Office together with other units of BPPO through the use of technology, investigation, intelligence, backtracking of CCTVs and interview of witnesses.
After acquiring sufficient information, a relentless and aggressive pursuit and rescue operations was conducted to ensure the rescue of the victim as well as the arrest of the suspects.
Police said suspects were able to get ransom money from the family of the victim through bank transfer.
The responding police arrested the Chinese suspects: Hong Tianfu, residing at 1500 Roxas Boulevard, Ermita, Manila; Deng Ru You, 34, resident of Shichuang Nan Chong; Wang Lie, 33, a resident of Jianshu Wuxi; and Long Qingqing, 34, a resident of Quizhou Biyie.
The arrested Filipino suspects were Roberto Jeremy Atienza, 25; and Jonel Dave Olayres, 23, both from Manila.
