TAGBILARAN CITY —The Bohol Investment Board (BIB) is pushing forward with its commitment to transparency and development as it greenlighted seven impressive project proposals during its 3rd quarterly meeting.
Poised to bring substantial advancements and economic growth, the proposals were Waste Management Project of Arn Central Development Corporation/ Pinoy Basurero Corporation, Waste to Energy Project of WN Energy Incorporated, Solar Power Project by DRL Green Recycling Group, Bulk Water Supply Project in Ubay of JFAP Construction, Solar Power of Bohol Solar Energy Incorporated, Cebu-Bohol Bridge Project of DTE Construction, and Sano Agro-Environmental Corporation & ALV Water Solutions.
Moreover, Engr. Desiderio Estinozo, DTE Construction President, presented the Cebu-Bohol Bridge Project which will be implemented through a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) arrangement.
The bridge will not only streamline travel between Bohol and Cebu but is expected to create new opportunities for trade and tourism.
Gov. Aris Aumentado, who is also BIB chairman, expressed satisfaction with the project proposals which hold immense potential opportunities for the UNESCO Global Geopark Island province.
“We want to be transparent in welcoming investors to our province so that everyone knows our direction and where we stand,” he pointed out.
In line with this, the ALV Water Solutions’ proposal to provide services such as sewage treatment facilities, water supply, and desalination plants is a welcome addition which is crucial for densely populated areas like Panglao, Dauis, and Tagbilaran City.
Provincial Administrator and Committee Chairperson Asteria Caberte led the evaluation together with Bohol Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office Head Maria Fe Dominise, lawyer John Titus Vistal, Provincial Planning and Development Office head, various provincial and national government officials.
