A buy-bust in Barangay Booy in Tagbilaran City, Bohol resulted in the arrest of three alleged drug pushers, including the drug den operator, on Tuesday afternoon, September 26, 2023.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bohol Provincial Office identified the suspects as Vicente M. Bumaat, 59; Jovelyn S. Aneslagon, 35; and Maryline Rigedor Resogenia, 46.
PDEA also identified Bumaat as the maintainer of the drug den which had been placed under surveillance for three weeks after the authorities learned of the illegal drugs activities.
They were arrested at around 1:52 p.m., during a buy-bust operation at Purok 5, Barangay Booy, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
According to PDEA, Bumaat could dispose around 10 grams a week.
Confiscated during the operation were eight packs of shabu weighing around seven grams with an estimated market value of P54,600, buy-bust money, one cellular phone, and various drug paraphernalia.
Cases for violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11 and 12, Article II of RA 9165 will be filed against the suspects.
Drug dens are breeding grounds for violence and criminality and disrupt the peace and order in the community.
