PGBH strengthens Bohol Cooperative sector

TAGBILARAN CITY – The Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) and the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) held discussions on various collaborative efforts to strengthen cooperatives in the province.

Gov. Aris Aumentado welcomed Undersecretary Joseph Encabo, CDA chairperson, at the Capitol Thursday to pursue discussions on cooperatives concerns.

The governor reaffirmed his commitment to bolster local cooperatives.

Emphasizing the importance of exploring effective strategies to assist and further develop local cooperatives, Aumentado said he hopes this will benefit enterprises across the province.

Both Aumentado and Encabo recognized the potential of farmers cooperative to significantly improve the lives of Boholano farmers by providing substantial support to local and agricultural workers.

Encabo also expressed his commitment to assist the province, acknowledging the substantial cooperative development potential present in the region through the assistance of various government agencies.

The CDA has been actively involved in promoting and supporting cooperatives nationwide, making it an essential partner in fostering economic growth at the local level.
