Anti-narcotics authorities from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested three drug suspects and dismantled an alleged drug den in a joint buy-bust operation in Tagbilaran City, Bohol on Wednesday night, July 26.
The Tagbilaran City Police Station and the PDEA-Bohol identified the suspects as Esrom Jenkins, alias AJ (drug den maintainer), 42, jobless, a resident of the aforementioned barangay, and Jude Benis Bantog (target listed) , pusher, 42, fisherman, a resident of Barangay Ubujan, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
Also arrested was April Valiente Ighot (drug den visitor), 28, fisherman, a resident of Barangay Ubujan, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
Authorities collared the suspects in at Purok 4, Barangay Manga, Tagbilaran City at past p.m. and confiscated from them 15 grams of alleged methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu worth P102, 000 , the PDEA said.
Cases for violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, and 12, Article II of RA 9165 will be filed against the suspects.
PDEA said drug dens are breeding grounds for violence and criminality and disrupt the peace and order in the community.
