The National Food Authority (NFA) Region VII on Monday received a special award during the “Pasidungog 2023” event in Sofitel Philippine Plaza, Manila.
Pasidungog is a yearly celebration of collaboration, appreciation, and recognition organized by the Office of the Vice President (OVP). It serves as a platform to express gratitude towards the partners of the OVP in the implementation of its various programs with the aim of advancing the welfare of the marginalized Filipinos.
Acting Regional Manager Maria Fe Evasco personally received the Plaque of Appreciation presented by no less than Vice President Sara Z. Duterte.
The Food Agency was awarded a Special Citation as a recognition of its contribution to the Office of the Vice President’s vision to reach, serve, and create lasting impact on the lives of the Filipino people, as inscribed on the plaque.
“It is indeed an honor to receive this award, which we did not expect since we only did what is necessary to fulfill our mandate and to respond to our clients especially when calamities occur,” Evasco said.
With NFA Administrator Roderico Bioco at the helm, NFA continues to perform its avowed task of buffer stocking to ensure national food security specifically in times of emergencies and calamities.
