Around 2,000 running enthusiasts took part in a fun run at the Island City Mall grounds in Tagbilaran City Sunday to mark the 50th year of Alturas Group of Companies (AGC).
There were participants for 10k 15k and 21k. Winners received cash prize and products from sponsors.
The Alturas Golden Fun Run also sought to promote healthy lifestyle and at the same time to help ill people.
According to Mary Grace Bernaldez, the fun run beneficiaries are parents and guardians of the 25 terminally ill children in the province.
AGC expressed its gratitude to all the participating runners and sponsors who, in one way or another, help generate funds intended for the sick children.
The Golden Fun Run is just one of the activities that AGC will launch as it celebrates its 50th year.
