Four new cases of fireworks-related injuries were recorded during the celebration of the New Year, the Department of Health (DOH)-Central Visayas said Monday.

DOH-7 said that the total number of fireworks-related injuries reported was 100 as of 6 a.m. on January 1, 2023.

Based on the agency’s latest fireworks-related injury surveillance report, there was one recorded case at Gov. Celestino Gallares Medical Center.

There were one case each admitted at Maribojoc Community Hospital, San Miguel Hospital and Valencia Municipal Health Office.
