Calape holds a basketball exhibition game as part of their Christmas season activities on Tuesday, Dec 27, with a match-up from Team Abante VS Team Baba Yap; and Mavs Phenomenal VS Calape selection.
Team Abante rolled to a victory over Team Baba Yap during the first game with a 53-50 score over the game’s last 2 minutes, gaining the upper hand against the latter during the 4th quarter.
Famed basketball team and internet sensation Mavs Phenomenal main event against the Calape Selection.
A jam-packed crowd filled the Calape Cultural Center and Sports Complex as they witnessed a neck-in-neck match between the two teams, with Calape Selection Dominating the first three-quarters, and Mavs Phenomenal taking over the 4th quarter, winning with a 93-88 score.
An estimated 3,000 people were present at the event, with notable guests such as Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado, Vice Governer Dionisio Balite, and 2nd District congresswoman Vanessa Aumentado and Vice-Guv Victor Balite attending to witness the exhibition game.
Also, Mayor Julius F. Herrera with wife Linda and daughter Goldie Herrera and Buenavista Mayor Atty. Dave Duallo witnessed the games. (Gavin Cubillo/rvo)
