At least five passengers were hurt in a road accident after a van- for- hire (v-hire) hit a contianer van along the national highway in Barangay Malinao, Garcia Hernandez on Friday night, Nov. 4, 2022.
According to Police Staff Sergeant Walled Sagusay, case investigator of Garcia Hernandez Police Station, Friday’s accident happened at 6 p. m. when a v-hire from Ubay town heading toward Tagbilaran City accidentally rear-ended a container van of Alturas Group of Companies also heading to the city.
The v-hire’s driver identified as Eddie Janobas was rushed to Teodoro B. Galagar District Hospital in Jagna town.
Four passengers were hurt. They were Jestoni Dinampo, a resident of Tagbilaran; Mary Grace Achuela, a resident of Loay town; Ozzie Salvalleon and Irish Terrante from Tagbilaran were brought to a hospital in Tagbilaran for treatment.
Rescuers from Garcia Hernandez Emergency Rescue Unit, Jagna and Valencia also rushed to the scene to help the victims.
