Classes suspended in Tagbilaran City due to bad weather

Classes at all levels in public and private schools in Tagbilaran City are suspended Wednesday, Oct. 26, due to bad weather.

Mayor Jane Yap announced on her Facebook that classed are suspended this morning due an orange rainfall warning.

“Due to the Orange Rainfall Warning in Bohol, ALL CLASSES at ALL LEVELS (Nursery, Kinder, Elementary, Secondary, College) in Tagbilaran City Public and Private Schools are hereby SUSPENDED TODAY. (Wednesday October 26,2022). Please stay safe,” said Yap.

Department of Education’s Order No. 37 said “In-person and online classes in all levels are automatically cancelled in schools situated in LGUs issued with Yellow, Orange and Red Rainfall Warning by the PAGASA.”

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the low pressure area brewing east of eastern Visayas developed into Tropical Depression Paeng as of 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.

In its 11:00 a.m. bulletin, state meteorologists said Paeng was last located at 965 km East of Eastern Visayas. It is moving West Northwestward slowly, packing sustained winds of 45 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 55 kph.
