Dalareich Polot, known as “Chocolate Princess” will receive the Goldman Sachs/Fortune Most Powerful Women Global Award in California, United States of America.

She will be the first Filipina to get such recognition. She has been chosen for the award along with an Egyptian woman.

“The past days have been a mixture of emotions after I received an unexpected announcement that I’ll be receiving the 15th Annual Fortune/ Goldman Sachs Global Women Leader Award,” Polot said.

“I am extremely honored to be the first Filipina to be conferred this prestigious award at “Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit” in California in the next few days. I am also very ecstatic that it comes with a grant that i can utilize to pay-it-forward to my adopted communities,” she added.

Polot, who founded the Dalareich Chocolate House in Barangay Booy in Tagbilaran City, has been helping cacao farmers in Bohol province to rehabilitate and plant cacao trees. However, typhoon Odette destroyed many cacao trees in the province.

” This opportunity came in His perfect time. I can’t explain everything here but i know in my heart that i am only an instrument of God and just following my mission. I’m very excited to speak in the world stage again and represent my beloved country, my province and city,” she said.

After two years, the 2022 Fortune MPW Summit will convene on Oct. 10-12 with the theme is “Realizing Your Power,”. It will gather preeminent women in business—along with select leaders in government, philanthropy, education, sports, and the arts—for wide-ranging conversations that inspire and deliver practical advice to enhance business and career.

Melinda Gates, US government women representatives from different states, women CEOs from Fortune 500 companies network and many other amazing women on TV and magazines will attend the event.

“I’m also eager to listen and network with women leaders and CEOs that I will meet during the summit. I’m so looking forward to engage with women leaders,” said Polot.

In 2013, Polot was the winner in the Young Women Entrepreneurs Bootcamp sponsored by the US Embassy in Manila and SPARK Philippines. She won a cash prize that helped her to expand her tableya business.
