Dauis mayor offers P100K reward for info on suspect who killed Daguio

Dauis Mayor Marietta Sumaylo on Saturday offered a P100,000 bounty to anyone who could give information on the location of the man who killed a water refilling attendant on Monday.

Police identified the victim as Melchor Daguio, 18, who was found dead on Monday morning outside a water refilling station where he worked.

Initial investigation revealed that Daguio was beaten to death while he was sleeping.

“Kinsa to makasulti kinsa ang nagkulata og nagpatay ni Melchor Daguio dunay madawat pahalipay 100,000.00 pls chat or tawag lang nato, ” read the Facebook post of Sumaylo.

“Wala tay nadawat nga Intellegence Fund, personal nato nga kwarta ang atong ereward para sa makasulti sa nagpatay ni Daguio. Sakit ang nahitabo sa natungdan ayaw ninyo apili pulitika,” Sumaylo added.

A co-worker found him. He was brought to Gov. Celestino Gallares Hospital but he died due to his severe injuries.

Family and friends of Daguio said they want police to find the person responsible for his death.

Daguio will be laid to rest on Saturday (March 12) at 2 p.m. in Songulan, Dauis.
