A fire hit the public market of Anda in Bohol, destroying P5 million worth of estimated goods but leaving no deaths or injuries.

The fire broke out at 4 a.m. on Sunday in one of the stalls.

Senior Fire Officer 2 John Joy Remedios, chief of Anda Fire Station, said that the blaze gutted the three stalls of the marker building.

The town’s firetruck was not available because it was repaired. The firetruck from Guindulman town responded to the alarm and put out the fire.

The fire started in one of the stalls although the cause had yet to be determined.

Firemen put it out at 6:20 a.m.

The estimated the damage caused by the fire at around P5 million. This was based on the estimated cost of the damaged goods of the vendors whose stalls were burned down.

The cause of the blaze in Anda had yet to be determined by arson investigators.
