Four men were arrested for allegedly transporting coconut lumber without a permit in Barangay Poblacion, Lila town on Monday, Feb. 7.

Mario Rara, 51; Creve Rara, 32; Wilson Candano, 39; and Alexis Cagalitan, 19, all residents of Valencia town, were caught
during a Comelec checkpoint in the said barangay at around 2 o’clock in the afternoon.

The team led by Police Lt. Alain Randy Silva asked for a copy of the permit from the group, but they could present it.

They will face complaints before the provincial prosecutor’s office for violating Republic Act 10593 or the Coconut Preservation Act.
