Boholanos were left wondering as swarm of insects were reportedly appearing in some parts of the province.
Michael Chatto was surprised on Wednesday afternoon (Feb. 2) when he noticed a swarm of insects flying around at dusk.
The resident from Antequera said it was the first time he had witnessed something like this.
“I couldn’t identify what insects they were,” he said.
Gina Chatto of Barangay Datag Norte in Balilihan said they stick on one’s clothing.
“Dili man mamaak. Imong pislaton, mamantsa ang imong sinena,” she added.
Most residents said these insects came out after typhoon Odette devastated the province.
But the residents said the insects were not hukhok (gnats).
