A man was found dead hanging from a bridge and with a placard in Barangay Tabajan in Guindulman town in Bohol province early Monday (Nov. 15).
Police Senior Master Sergeant Angelito Villondo, case investigator at Guindulman Police Station, identified the victim as Roy Dela Torre, 46, a resident of Barangay Sawang of Guindulman.
He said residents reported about a body hanging from the Tabajan bridge in around 5:30 a.m.
Dela Torre wore a chalico shirt and a pair of faded denim pants and had a string tied around his neck with a placard bearing the words “Manny, Jhon Paul, Jofran, Maro, Kamo na sunod (You’re next).”
Police are still investigating the incident although the local physician’s initial findings said Dela Torre died of “asphyxia by hanging.”
Police records said Dela Torre was jailed for drugs years ago but he was released on plea bargain.
Motorists, meanwhile, said the incident slowed down traffic in the vicinity.
