A 5-year-old boy and his parents were rescued after they were buried by falling mud and soil in a quarry area in Barangay San Jose, Getafe town, Bohol on Monday, August 30, 2021.
Police Corporal Rowel Botero, duty investigator at the Getafe Police Station, said they conducted a patrol in the area when a resident reported that a family, who work in a quarry, were buried under a pile of mud and soil following a landslide there.
Police immediately rescued Franco Torremocha, 46 and his common-law wife Elizabeth Cuajao, 31 and son.

Botero said they were immediately brought to the Getafe Health Center and later referred to a hospital in Talibon for further treatment.
