A passenger died when the tricycle he boarded hit a private car in Bien Unido town on Saturday (Aug. 28) afternoon.
A report reaching Bohol Provincial Police Office identified the fatality as Dindo Jose Macua Lañojan, 20, a resident of Purok 7 in Barangay Poblacion in Bien Unido town.
He died while on his way to Garcia Memorial Hospital in Talibon due to severe head injury.
According to the police investigation, the driver of the tricycle identified as Cornelio Quimson, 48, a resident of Purok 5 in Barangay Poblacion in Bien Unido, was unaware that there was a Montero Sport parked on the side of the road causing him to collide with it.
Due to the impact, his tricycle spun and fell on the side of the road.
The driver only sustained a minor injury.
