A K-9 narcotic detection dog helped authorities detect a parcel allegedly containing illegal drugs at a forwarding company’s branch in Barangay Poblacion 2 in Tagbilaran City Saturday.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Bohol said the random K9 inspection, which was a routine and done in coordination with the forwarding company, happened at 3:15 p.m.,
Incidentally, during the inspection, NDDs Uno and Hyper showed indications that one of the parcels might contain dangerous drugs.
In the presence of prescribed witnesses, the parcel was opened, and upon inspection, a pack of around 50 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P340,000 was recovered, concealed inside a blue belt bag.
Investigation is ongoing on the sender and consignee.
