The mobile vaccination program started in Tagbilaran City on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021. It is the first mobile vaccination in Bohol province.

The city government of Tagbilaran started the house-to-house vaccination against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) using a mobile clinic on Thursday, Aug. 12.

A mobile bus has been allocated for the mobile vaccination drive. It’s the first in the province.

Mayor Baba Yap said they are targetting senior citizens and persons with comorbidities.

He said they would no longer have a hard time travelling going to five vaccination centers in the city.

“Naningkamot ang Tagbilaran City Government nga kita na mismo ang muadto sa ilang mga balay para wala nay rason ang mga tawo nga dili gyud mabakunahan ang atong mga katawhan,” said Yap.

“This time nga pandemic nga naay hulga sa Delta variant, importante gyud kaayo ang bakuna. Nga mas daghan ang matagaan, daghan ang maprotektahan. Mao ning goal nato sa City government nga mabakunahan kutob sa mabakunahan nato nga mga Tagbilaranon,” Yap added.

Eulalia Remolador, 88, a resident of Barangay Poblacion 3, was the first one to receive her first dose of Sinovac vaccine thru the mobile vaccination program. Dr. Jeia Pondoc, the city health officer, administered the shot.

The MVP would visit the city’s barangays. Senior citizens and persons with comorbidities will be prioritized to be vaccinated through the MVP.
