Sec. Roque on Benjie Oliva: He’s most qualified to be Congressman

Presidential spokesman Harry Roque said Saturday that Boholano youth leader Benjie Oliva is most qualified to run for Congressman.

“The most qualified is no other than Benjie (Oliva). Napakasipag na isang Boholano leader, ” said Roque during the presscon at Modala Beach Resort in Panglao town.

Oliva, a former Commissioner of the National Youth Commission (NYC) and former administrator of Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), is second nominee for Kooperatiba Kahugpungan sa mga Mag-uuma ug Mangingisda sa Pilipinas (KOOP KAMPI) partylist.

Roque attended Saturday’s consultative meeting with cooperative and farmer leaders from different parts of Bohol.

He encouraged the farmers and fishermen to create and join more cooperatives in development and nation-building.

Roque said the government is always ready to help cooperative members in this economic impacts of the pandemic.

He assured the cooperatives that the government will continue providing assistance to small businesses and vulnerable sectors.
