Quincentennial Marker unveiled in Maribojoc’s Punta Cruz

The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) has installed the Quincentennial Marker at Punta Cruz in Maribojoc town on the 500th anniversary of the historical event.

The marker was the first marker in Bohol unveiled by the NHCP to mark the quincentennial anniversary celebration of the arrival of Christianity in the Philippines.

Bohol 1st district Rep. Edgar Chatto joined provincial officials led by Gov. Art Yap and the Sangguniang Panlalawigan headed by Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos with the muncipal government of Maribojoc officials led by Mayor Romulo Manuta together with NHCP Chairperson Dr. Rene Escalante and National Museum Director General Jeremy Barns during the program.
