Motorcycle rider died after colliding with ambulance in Balilihan

A motorist was killed when the motorcycle he was riding collided with an ambulance in Balilihan town Monday morning, June 7, police said.

According to Senior Master Sergeant Ralph Renoblas of Balilihan Police Station, Rodyl Josol was riding his motorcycle on his way to Carmen town when he accidentally bumped into an ambulance being driven by Obaldo Balag along a blind curve in a national road in Barangay Boctol around 9 a.m.

Initial investigation showed that Josol was on the wrong lane.

Josol was thrown off by the impact of it at least two meters.

Although he was wearing his helmet, Josol sustained injuries in the head and his upper body. He was rescued by Balilihan responders and was brought to Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital. He was declared dead on arrival.

The two vehicles were damaged due to strong impact.

Meanwhile, the patient and Balag, were unhurt.
