The provincial capitol of Bohol was closed for general disinfection on Friday, April 23, 2021.

The provincial capitol of Bohol was closed on Friday (April 23) for disinfection after several employees tested positive for coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

The provincial government said in an advisory Thursday that the thorough disinfection would be conducted by the Provincial Health Office of all offices in the entire capitol building.

All capitol-based employees were advised to follow the work from home arrangement to allow a thorough cleaning of the capitol complex premises.

During the closure, no transactions would be accommodated.

Regular office operations will resume on Monday, April 26, 2021.

The provincial government reported that the active cases have already reached 570 including 52 new cases.

As of April 23, Bohol recorded a total of 2, 275 confirmed Covid-19 cases, including 570 active cases, 1,669 recoveries and 36 deaths.
