Two barangays in Panglao town will be put under lockdown due to the surge in Covid-19 cases in the province.
In an announcement on Thursday, the Mayor’s Office said barangay Bil-isan will be on lockdown starting April 13, 12:01 a.m. until April 15, 11:59 p.m.
Barangay Libaong will begin on April 18, 12:01 a. m. until April 20, 11:59 p. m.
The lockdown is due to the “disturbing increase of Covid-19 cases in the Island Province of Bohol and as an added prudent measure.”
Residents are encouraged to stay at home during the lockdown, not just to protect yourselves, but also to help prevent a possible spread of the virus.
According to the data of the Department of Health Central Visayas Center for Health Development as of April 7, Bohol province logged a total of 34 new cases.
The total active cases is now at 339.
