Many areas on the island of Bohol experienced a power outage early Saturday evening, February 27, 2021, according to a post of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).
The province-wide power outage started at 6:05 p.m.
NGCP said said the power loss was due to line tripping of the Corella-Tagbilaran 69kV line.”
Most Boholanos had dinner in the dark, some lighted candles or used emergency lights.
Bohol sources its power from Leyte province where the geothermal power plant is located.
The said plant also provides power to the Visayas grid.
NGCP emphasized that they are not certain yet as to what time power will be restored.
