A man from Ubay town in Bohol province who stayed at Cebu Pier 1 in Cebu City for several days was brought to Cebu City Medical Center on Wednesday night, January 27, 2021.
The man is identified as Bienvenido Tubo.
A report from radio station DYLA said that Tubo, a locally stranded individual (LSI), was stranded at Pier 1, Cebu City because he has no travel documents.
San Roque, Cebu City Captain Vergie Abenoja said Tubo has been in the port area for about three weeks.
Abenoja said that even the barangay would process his papers, Tubo still needs the certificate of acceptance from Ubay.
Some people at the port gave him bread. He also bought a blanket from the money he received from passersby.
However, Tubo who looks dehydrated becomes weak while lying in two plastic chairs with some of his handful personal belongings.
