A motorcycle rider and his backrider died in a vehicular accident along the national highway in Maribojoc town on Saturday night, December 26, 2020, authorities said.
Killed were security guards Danilo Hibaya, driver of the motorcycle and his backrider Filomena Gentallan, both residents of Maribojoc town.
Investigators said the Nissan Navara driven by Police Captain Lamberto Hibaya, chief of Antequera Municipal Police Station, traveling to Tagbilaran City swerved to the opposite lane before crashing into the approaching motorycle.
The victims died on the spot.
