The BOHECO-Sevilla Mini-Hydro (BSMH) Corporation in Sevilla town released water early Saturday amid the continuous increase of its water level due to rainfall dumped by typhoon Rolly.
As of 6 p.m. Friday, gate one was opened as the water level was slightly above its normal high water level, according to a Facebook post of Sevilla Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.
At past 6 p.m., gate 2 was 20 percent opened.
Residents living along low-lying areas and those near the river banks of Sevilla River are advised to take precautionary measures and be alert for a possible increase in water level.
