Bishop Abet Uy of the Diocese of Tagbilaran has found a unique way to celebrate his birthday. Instead of partying, he marked the occasion by planting trees.
Bishop Uy had planted 54 tree saplings on his 54th birthday on Oct. 15 (actual birthday on Oct. 18) in Barangay Marawis in Valencia town.
Bishop Uy who has embarked on the green mission also encouraged other people to plant trees on their birthdays to save the environment.
