A 32-year-old man is now facing parricide charges after he killed his wife in Barangay Can-upao in Jagna town past 11 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2020.
Police Staff Sergeant Jonalyn Llemit, assistant officer at Women and Children Protection Desks (WCPD) officer of Jagna Police Station, said initial investigation revealed that while the 33-year-old wife had a drinking spree with her nephew, her husband came and slit her throat which was believed to have caused her instantaneous death.
The suspect went to Jagna Police Station to surrender.
According to police, the couple had been fighting recently.
During the investigation, it was also learned that the couple’s 13-year-old daughter was sexually abused by her father.
As of this posting, the suspect, detained at the Jagna Police Station pending the filing of charges.
